And That's Life {Volume 3}

I'm making this post a once-a-month kinda thing around here, I think. Seeing as this is my third time writing it in this format, I think it qualifies as a "thing" right? I love any type of post that is in some type of list or organized format... my cluttered brain needs all the order I can get these days!

Football Life: In case you have not been paying attention to the NFL this year... my Bengals STINK. Oh, my goodness are they having a rough season. My (former) boss and I continue to stay in touch and after last week's loss he emailed me to say that apparently my absence in the office had a bigger impact on the team than he realized it would- haha. At this point, can we just skip ahead to the draft in April? Whew.

Home Life: Our home is Christmas'd up and has been for a couple weeks now. With all the decluttering we've done in 2016 it was fun to decorate since our furniture and overall home layout are a lot different than they were last holiday season. We even donated some of our Christmas decor because we honestly just had too much. I'm addicted to getting rid of things, like, for real. If it's not nailed down watch out ;)

Health/Fitness Life: Jared and I completed two back-to-back DietBets in the past few months and it was definitely what I needed to get headed in the right direction. I'm working out more and more and it feels good to break a sweat a few times a week. I've been doing a lot of walking on the treadmill and recently I've started some barre3 videos via YouTube which I love. We have been using our juicer like crazy and I plan to write a full post soon on our favorite combinations.

Mom Life: I have a SIX MONTH OLD. T is getting more and more fun every day it seems. Jared and I know just what to do/say that gets him giggling; his legs are getting so strong and he loves to "stand" with our help; he officially loves to sleep on his belly and does most nights- which scared me half to death when it first happened; still no teeth but they have to be close based on how much he chews/drools on everything; He's handling solids like a champ. He's had sweet potatoes, avocado, green beans, pears, apples and peas. All winners so far!

So that's life for now. What's going on with you all??
PS- Happy December!!

  1. Lots of awesome little parts of your life friend! I am proud of you and Jared for getting the fitness thing done! I am sure that is not always the easiest with a sweet 6 month old around. You'll have to post some of the things youve done to get back on track for us mommas who will be needing ideas soon! Hope you are having a great week!

  2. Way to go on getting back to working out! I feel like it's always so hard to get back into it, but once you start you can't stop! I can't believe T is already 6 months old! That's so crazy! I also feel your pain when it comes to football! The Aggies started off so strong and then stunk it up the last month or so.

  3. What is up with this season?? The Cowboys are not only good again, they're the best. The Raiders are good?? Great job on completing 2 diet bets. Also, I can't believe T is 6 months! I'm sure the time has gone by even faster for you but I feel like you just had him yesterday.

  4. I'm right there with you on the de-cluttering... I'm addicted to getting rid of stuff too! I have SO many Christmas decorations and after I pulled everything out this year, I didn't even put half of it up. Too much clutter! I need to get rid of the stuff we won't use again.

  5. I've started going to the gym with my brother-in-law once a week (he has a membership where he can take someone for free!) and it feels so good to run and do some weights! I'm also trying to be consistent with this 10-min yoga video I love and it's been great. Definitely not in as good of shape as I was a few years ago, but every little bit counts!

  6. I like the format too, one of my goals for 2017 is going to be coming up with a consistent currently/month at a glance/life lately type post that I can print and add to my Project Life album every month. I need to get back into YouTube work out videos, there are so many there is literally no excuse not to be using them!

  7. Haha. I feel like I wrote half of your blog post in an email to my girl friend this morning! We just purged half of our Christmas stuff too. (So much mis-matched junk that we left in boxes every year and other decorations we just didn't like anymore). I'm excited to hear your juicing combinations! We love our juicer :)

    1. Yes! We just had WAY too many things we didn't even really like or use for Christmas. Loaded up some boxes that will be donated tomorrow :) Yay, juicing!

  8. I learned this super handy trick for the juicer... Put a plastic bag in the compost/pulp container before you start, then just pull it out and toss it - no clean up! Can't wait to read your favorite juice combos!

  9. Ahhh T is getting so big!!! Isn't it always like work to only notice how much you do when you aren't there? Hopefully next year will be a better season for your team!

  10. Hadley sleeps on her stomach now too and the first few nights, I literally stayed awake and like watched her all night - it was kind of terrifying! But now I think she sleeps better on her stomach, so I kind of like it haha

  14. T is SO CUTE! And I think this every time I see a picture of him on any social media platform. Seriously, you two make some cuuuuuuute babies/baby. Good job ;)

Yay for decluttering! Reading about all your decluttering just makes me want to get up right now and finally take that giant box sitting in our corner to Goodwill...
