LuLaRoe Has Won Me Over + Giveaway!

Some of you might remember a few weeks back I mentioned that I really didn't "get" the whole LuLaRoe obsession that seemed to be taking over the internet. I thought okay they make leggings, what's the big deal?! People kept adding me to Facebook events/groups and then I saw they had other items like shirts and dresses, but I still didn't understand what the big deal was. I would see all these notifications and seriously I was like, "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!"

So when I mentioned it on here, I had a very sweet reader (Hi, Jen!) comment and tell me that she was a distributor of LLR and would be happy to chat with me about it. She explained it better to me and I finally could see where the fun was in this business. Each piece is only made in a limited amount, and the people who sell it don't know what they are getting each time they order more inventory. So it's always a surprise for them, and always a surprise/unique experience when people are shopping their items.
This infographic is a BIT old so the numbers are slightly different now, but it helps illustrate how unique the pieces are! :)

Jen SO graciously offered to send me some goodies in exchange for a blog review of them. She stressed multiple times that she wanted my honest feedback no matter what I ended up deciding about the clothes. Well, I decided that they are FABULOUS!!! When I first looked at the options she had, I wasn't sure I'd find something I loved. There seemed to be a lot of floral or wild patterns and those aren't typically what I would wear. Yet the solids seemed too "safe" for my first LLR... decisions, decisions. After some thought and some digging through Jen's Facebook albums of inventory- I found the pair for me.

They're a fun pattern with colors I love, but not so crazy that I feel like people would stop and stare at my leggings in public. ;) Jen happily found me a navy blue Irma top that I think looks great with them. The clothes are honestly SO comfortable and I like that the neck is high on the shirts. An absolute must for carting around a baby or toddler, if you ask me. The leggings are the perfect thickness that I like and the top is long so everything is covered in the back.

The sizing can be a little tricky to figure out at first, but I feel like most Facebook groups do a good job of explaining how they work. Just be sure to check out the charts for each item before you purchase. The prices scared me a little bit at first, but now that I see the great quality of the items I feel 100% okay with the cost. The leggings are all $25 but don't you spend that (or more!) on a pair of good pants from LOFT, Gap, J. Crew, etc? Totally worth the money you guys. You all know I'm not a big spender but LLR clothes are worth every penny- promise.

My wardrobe has been in such a funk since having a baby and LLR clothes make me feel comfy and stylish again. Moral of the story: Jen rocks. I loved collaborating with her and will certainly be purchasing from her in the future. If it wasn't so close to Christmas I probably would have already bought a whole new wardrobe from her.

Lucky for you, Jen is giving away a mystery pair of leggings to one of my readers! You pick the size, Jen picks the pattern and color.  Just enter below and I'll announce the winner on Monday, December 5th!

  12. I haven't seen these anywhere in Canada, but I also haven't looked, I'm pretty loyal to my Costco leggings that come 2 in a package for $20 and can be put in the washer/dryer on a regular basis.

  28. I also don't get the craze. Guess if I win I can finally see what the rage is.

  29. Yep I'm so addicted to LLR! It started over the summer and since then I've spent way too much money lol. My favorite products are the leggings and Irma, but the Nicoles are a GREAT dress option too.

  30. I have jumped on the LLR bandwagon yet because I am not a huge fan of prints for the bottom half of my body. But I wouldn't mind trying a plain pair of leggings...or maybe a pair with a very muted print to see what all the fuss is about. I really like the length of the top you got! How much does a top like that go for? I don't think $25 is too much to ask for leggings.

  31. I have a few friends that sell LLR, but I haven't actually jumped ship and made a purchase yet! One of these days I need to because I've heard how wonderful the leggings are! I had no idea that they don't even know what they're going to get in their inventory!

  32. I haven't tried them yet... I feel like I'm ready!

  33. I have personally not tried them yet, but can't wait too. My daughter has a couple pair of the kid leggings, and never wants to take them off!

  34. Jen is my friend from high school (and adult life)! :) I also learned about LuLaRoe from her before she became a consultant. She DOES rock! I love that pair on you! I am a bit of a LuLaAddict myself... --Ana, longtime reader first time commenter

  35. I've been so tempted to try lularoe, but I haven't been able to justify the cost.. This definitely makes me more tempted to try their clothes!

  36. Awe, yaaaay!! You know how I love LLR ;) I didn't get the hype before selling it (yeah- I totally jumped on board ONLY because I knew there were so many addicts out there... not because I was an addict myself, ha ha. But now you can put me at the top of the addict list!!) So glad you love yours!!

  37. I got two pairs of their leggings from an online party and OHMYGOSH they're easily the most comfortable leggings I own. AND they mostly fit me (all 6'3" of me) so they're even better in my book :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. I admit - I'm one of those people that just doesn't get it. The price point seems like a lot for leggings that don't offer compression, shaping, etc. and aren't meant for working out. That said, I know so many people who swear by them and have plenty of friends who sell. You look adorable!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Aren't they amazing?! I love slipping mine on---they feel like butter. For your legs ;)

    What a fun giveaway!

  40. I'm not sure about the whole craze either so I'd be curious to try!

  41. I love LLR! I am also one who sticks to more basic patterns, and I think I have about 4 pairs of leggings--one that's a solid black has made its way into my closet. I have yet to buy anything else, but my sister-in-law is having a pop up next week, so I'm hoping to pick up a classic or an Irma then. I've also been eyeing a Mae dress for my daughter.

  42. I've never tried LLR but they look so comfy and easy to put an outfit together - which I need right now with an almost 6mo old baby!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have been wondering the EXACT same since it first started showing up around facebook. I didn't quite get the concept so I'm glad you explained it! As a momma, or soon to be in my case, I'm all about leggings and long shirts! haha

  44. I have never tried LLR but would love too!!! :)

  45. I want to love them but the patterns scare me!!

  46. I got my first pair of LulaRoe leggings a few months ago and I actually didn't wear them forever because I didn't want to love them. And then I finally did wear them, and I love them, of course, and now I want LulaRoe everything!!!

  47. I have two pair of leggings but haven't pulled the trigger on a top! Do you love the Irma?
