Currently: October Edition

Another fabulous edition of the Currently link-up is happening today. This is always one of my favorites to participate in so you should check it out!  Anne and her cohost Jacqui would be happy to have you join in, so hop on over to their blogs already! ;)

Currently I'm...

Cheers-ing: That football season is almost over for Jared and his junior high team. I love that he coaches and he really enjoys it, but it's still a huge time commitment! I will look forward to having our evenings together again in just a couple of short weeks.

Organizing: My life. Ehh, it needs it anyway! Luckily the more things we declutter and donate, the easier it to organize the stuff we actually like! I've also been trying to keep up with alllll the digital photo organization. I wrote a post back in March about how I do it, so I need to stay on top of it to keep my system flowing. I couldn't even guess how many pictures I've taken of T in his 4 months of life already.

Dreaming: Of how much I'd like to be dreaming. Why is it that even though my kiddo sleeps relatively well overnight I'm still tired every single second of my life? Apparently babies are exhausting... who knew?! ;)

Buying: A few things for our house. Jared and I are finally trying to get some house projects rolling. Since living here we have always struggled with what we wanted to spend money on and what we could "make do" with for the time being. Originally we hadn't planned on living in this home for as long as we have, but while we're here we might as well make the best of it and spruce up the things that need sprucing. Looking forward to sharing our projects and progress soon!

Listening: To music all the time! I love having our radio/record/cd combination player in the main area of our house. I think the first couple of months after T was born I forgot what music was.  I forgot about the morning radio show I always listened to on my commute and it was like a lightbulb went off when I turned it on one morning and heard familiar voices. Hey! My radio friends! They are still doing their thing even though I stopped listening to them in my car- surprise, surprise!

What are you currently up to??

  1. I recommend Natural Calm or melatonin. Both help me unwind enough from the day to actually feel well-rested in the morning. But you're right - a baby is hard work. Just wait until he's walking. I feel like all I do is chase Alexander all over the house.

  2. I just started watching Friday Night Lights (I know, I'm so late haha) and I never realized what a big commitment football is for the coaches and families! Yay for having some Fridays back :)

  11. I can't wait to hear about your home projects, how fun!!!As I am getting rid of more and more things I am learning that it is a lot quicker for me to clean and organize too. What a concept, right??

  12. Hooray for having your husband back soon! Hunting season is about to start up, so I know that I'm about to have a lot of weekends all to myself, which will be fun and a little lonely at the same time. Also hooray for getting some house projects started! It's always fun to change things up and do stuff around the house!

  15. My digital photos are a total fright right now. Every week I'm like I'm going to do that then...not so much.

  16. Isn't that so funny that you don't think about listening to the same stuff inside that you listen to in the car?! I have a podcast I listen to every time I drive somewhere, and just last week I turned it on in the apartment instead of watching TV and it was pretty much the best decision.

Ugh T! Why do you have to be so cute so your mom can't resist taking pictures of you?! ;)

  17. Radio friends are the BEST! :) My long morning commute is made so much better by my favorite morning show hosts! I also work from home a few times a week and I was always hating how quiet it was sitting in my office all morning, and then I realized I should turn the radio on! Game changer! :) Hope you're having a good week!

  18. Didn't you just move in? I'm confused? Did you not expect to be there for this long? Why not? ... sorry, I've got a lot of house questions apparently.

  19. Isn't blasting the radio/music through the house the best?! That is one of my favorite things to do. Sometimes Caleb will come in the door, and I won't even hear it because I've got Hillsong, Adele, or Katy Perry turned up so loud! ;) yay for house projects and making them happen. YOU ROCK!

  20. good luck trying to organize your life... i feel like that's where i'm at 97% of my life, haha. the decluttering thing is so true. my friend ernie says the more stuff you have the more time you need to spend taking care of that stuff. so i'm trying to get rid of stuff so i have more time haha
