And That's Life

Football Life: In case you didn't tune in, my Bengals WON last night against the Miami Dolphins. That puts our team at 2-2, thank goodness. I couldn't take a third loss in a row! Some aspects of our team looked great- aka AJ GREEN! Oh my goodness that man is a beast. I cracked up at this tweet from the NFL.

Social Life: What's that?! ;) I've reached a point in life that if I want to see friends and make plans I have to do it weeks in advance- and that's okay! I can't necessarily grab dinner or do something fun with friends on a whim like I once could. That's been an adjustment to get used to but I'm being more intentional about looking ahead to when I can make time for quality friend sessions.

Business Life:  I can't believe it's been a year since Amy and I opened our sticker shop! It's been a lot of fun and a learning experience as well. Our Halloween stickers are on sale through today so be sure to check them out now for the best price.

Fitness Life: I mentioned a few weeks back that I was going to start the Couch to 5K program and get back into running again. Well, that hasn't really worked out for me. After a few workouts, I was having some hip pain and some swelling around my hip and knee in my right leg. Some of you may remember my hip injury from last Spring and so the second I realized things were hurting, I quit. Time for a new work out plan! I see lots of pilates and yoga in my future.

Momma Life: T and I have had the absolute best week together. He's just been so much fun and I got some of my best laughs ever out of him. And today I have to go ruin his life by taking him to the doctor for his checkup and shots! Okay, I'm being overdramatic, I know- but I absolutely despise these visits. I love to hear how big he's gotten and how perfect he is (not biased at all ;)) but the shots break my heart a little every time. Someone hold me!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend planned. I'm planning on a lot of snuggles, a lot of family time and some productivity!

  1. Okay that AJ Green chart is EVERYTHING right now. I am dying! He is THE MAN! He scored me nearly 24 fantasy points yesterday, woo! So thankful to hear you and T had such a great week...his giggles make my heart swell! Just squeeze him extra tight after those shots. Happy weekend, girl! XO!

  2. Is this the first round of shots and do you have to do it alone or are you making dad come to support both of you? :)

  4. I love AJ Green...of course, I am a Georgia fan so even though he is with your team now he will always have a special place for me lol. I am so glad that you and T had a good week!!! These are the moments you are going to cherish!!! Dude, I am so scared for when I start back to my normal workouts after baby. My hips have been KILLING me while pregnant and they were bothering me when I ran before I got pregnant. I dont know if I can ever go back to running again.

  5. Andy Dalton is my qb in my fantasy league so I was pretty happy about last night too ;)
I'm jealous of your ability to have the will to run. I honestly can't even think of the last time I ran to do something...high school? Go, girl. Go.
And shots. I laughed at that part, with you, not at you :) I get maaaajor cuddles after shots, so it's worth it. And the whole not getting diseases part haha

  7. Omg the shots are terrible!!! I think I handle them worse than Haddie does though, ha! So glad you two had a great week together - it's definitely getting more fun now that they're more interactive! :)

  8. So sorry to hear about the pain and swelling. Hope you start feeling better ASAP! My college roommate loved yoga and would always find these "30 day yoga challenges" on YouTube for us to do lol. I don't remember what they were called but it was fun! Glad you and T had a good week and hoping the doctors visit goes by quickly and with little pain!

  9. Sorry you're having some hip pain again! Hopefully you can find something that won't aggravate it. I always hated taking Mav to the dr but got so much enjoyment comparing his measurements to see how much he had changed. He was always on the teeny tiny side so I loved seeing him jump up on the charts.

  10. Bummer about your hip pain! I've been doing yoga lately and while it was not my favorite at the beginning...I'm really loving it now. I use the Yoga with Adriene videos...she's great!

  12. Sorry little man had to get shots this week. We're headed to do that next week :( I still tear up every time. You're so right about having to schedule plans weeks in advance. I'm working on making plans for the rest of October and trying to get everything I want on the calendar! It's tricky. I thought of you when the Bengals won and my hubby was thrilled bc he picked them in his fantasy league. Hope you're having a great weekend :)

  13. So I am the mean Mom who didn't care that C got shots. He needed them and there was no reason to stress over them so we just took them like a boss. James on the other hand would leave the room. Thanks, Dad.
