Currently: September Edition

Another fabulous edition of the Currently link-up is today! Anne and her cohost Beth would be happy to have you join in, so hop on over to their blogs already! ;)

Currently I'm...

Reading: I mentioned it yesterday on Instagram, but I haven't picked up a book for fun in months! I continually leaf through What to Expect: The First Year (which I really do find helpful!) but that's about it. I do miss reading, though... Jared and I used to read in bed pretty regularly. However, apparently when you have a new baby- the second you crawl into bed you'll be snoring. True statement.

Trying: To stay on top of things at home and with our little Etsy shop as well. Orders have been picking-up which is absolutely awesome! I just need about 30 hours in a day's time instead of 24 to get to all the things I want to get to. Anyone know if that's possible? ;)

Hoping: For a big week one victory for my Bengals. I am so excited for the NFL season to kick off this week! I'm also hoping our injured players are healing up quickly (Heyyy, Tyler Eifert!) and that there are no other major injuries either.

Decorating: For fall, soon! This weekend Jared and I will probably get our fall stuff out and that means we need some new fall candles to light as well :) You can never have too many fall candles.

To-Do Listing: Christmas gifts I want to buy. I know, I know... It's September. But it's never too early to be thinking gifts and ideas and shopping around for deals. I've got a few things purchased already and I love being ahead of the game. There is nothing worse than waiting until the last minute in December and scrambling to buy something. PS- You guys need to be using Swagbucks to earn giftcards if you aren't already. That's my Christmas shopping secret weapon :)

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

  1. Reading while nursing was how I kept up those first few months... but otherwise a girl's gotta maximize her sleep time where she can! And actually it's crazy how close December actually is. Maybe I should be working on this kind of list too!

  4. I love fall candles. Honestly wish it could be fall all year round. I've been trying to read more instead of watch TV. I'm reading "My so-called life as a Proverbs 31 wife". It is pretty good; I have to make myself stop reading to get some sleep. I also have been using the "Open Your Bible" workbook I got for my birthday. That's one thing I desperately need to work on. It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas gifts!

  5. I am ready to break out the fall candles as well. You can seriously never have too many! I have the What To Expect First Years book that I am sure I will refer to from time to time. I am on the fence about if I want to get a planner this year or not. If I do, I am totally hitting up your shop! And I just texted my sister about Christmas lists for her kids because I need to have that done by November so I can wrap presents and stuff BEFORE baby comes! Otherwise it may never get done.

  9. I love everything about fall! Swagbucks is the best. Since about mid-summer I've been trying to do as much as possible on there so that anytime I get 2500 points I can get the $25 paypal card so that come the middle/end of October I can use that as spending money in Nashville.

  12. Your fall stickers are darling. Do you know if they work with plum paper planners? I see it says Erin Condren, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

  13. I've already started Christmas shopping, too! It's early, but it feels good!

I love fall candles, decor -- fall anything! The boys have already pulled out most of our fall decorations. I did have to convince them that it's too early for the Halloween decor!

  14. I have been burning my fall candles even though I haven't decorated yet. I also listed Christmas presents under my to-do listings. I can't believe it is almost here.

  17. So very, very true. With a baby, you're basically asleep the second your head hits the pillow. I struggled with reading too when my guy was a baby but now that he's a year and a half, I've finally gotten back into it. Still tired to read as much as I used to, but getting there!

  18. I'm a firm believer that you can never have too many fall candles! I totally stocked up this past weekend! And there's never enough time in the day! I wish that I had a few extra hours each day too!

  21. I've been trying to figure out how to add hours to my day, too. I'll let you know if I come up with anything. ;) Bring on the Bengals and the fall candles. So pumped! You'll be especially glad you were ahead of the game on Christmas gifts this year with T around to keep you busy during the holidays!

  22. You are definitely right about never having enough fall candles. Bath and Body Works just opened a store ONLY for candles in our mall. I can't even let myself go in because I know I will spend a trillion dollars.

  23. I'm buying some fall candles this weekend and I'm SO excited. Also...I already bought a Christmas present, and I'm racking up the swaybacks to trade in for amazon gift cards :) I feel so on the ball this year.
