Never Thought I'd...

...Keep up with a blog for five years! That blows my mind. I'm thankful for this little space of mind and the friendships that have grown as a result of this blog. I never could have imagined what this blog would become but I'm glad it's been a pleasant surprise :) I was worried I'd never find time to blog again after T was born, but slowly and surely I'm getting back into the swing of things.

...Be just a few years away from paying off a house at this point in my life. Jared and I (err... Sallie and Perkins?!) are still hanging onto our plan to pay off our mortgage in the near future. I plan to give an actual S/P update soon but we are really rocking our finances this year, despite all the life changes! Make me excited to see what we can continue to accomplish.

...Be watching WWE with Jared. I have never, ever in my life been interested in wrestling but somehow I've been watching it more and more over the past year or so. Jared actually went to high school and played football with Dean Ambrose, so we've been more interested in watching since he continues to grow in popularity. It's pretty surreal to watch someone you actually KNOW become a millionaire and reach that level of stardom. For me? It's surreal that I'm starting to actually know multiple wrestler's names, slogans, etc.

...Be reading up on fantasy football predictions. I LOVE football, that's no secret, but this year I've got a title to defend. In WON our family league last year, making me the first female to ever do so! And I'm definitely still bragging about it, so I can't fail this year. I am getting a head start on things and cannot wait for the season (real and fantasy!) to start.

...Have a google search history consisting of the things it does. Pretty much anytime I'm up for a 3 A.M. feeding I'm also googling the most random things associated with babies, postpartum 'things' and more. These first couple of months I have constantly searched for everything under the sun. Is this normal? Is that? What should I expect with this? How to do that. You name it- I've googled it.

Fill in the blank for yourself... What's something you never thought you'd be doing?

I find myself rooting for certain people over others and knowing who is coming out when I hear their songs? Who are we turning into? Baha! Oh and I'm SO excited for fantasy football! I hope another female wins this year ;) aka me

  3. I'm with you on fantasy football, although definitely not defending a title - I'm trying to get myself one :) And my google search history is ridiculous, it would be worse than someone reading my diary. Happy Thursday!

  7. I have Googled such strange things since having R. Example: multiple times I've asked Google about the color of poop. Ha! Awesome job on your finances. That is really exciting you will be able to pay off your mortgage so soon.

  8. Hahaha that google ecard is my life! I ask google everything. I have been trying to stay off of it though when it comes to pregnancy symptoms because otherwise I go crazy and think I will die or something. Hurray for the paying off the house thing!!! That is so awesome!!! You guys certainly win all the things when it comes to finances.

  10. These are hilarious. Keep killin' it with your mortgage payment. That's seriously AWESOME. I'm a huge sports fan and I know next to nothing about the WWE. So bizarre that you know someone in it! Heck yeah to winning your fantasy football league! REPRESENT FOR THE WOMEN! Also, I'd never, and I mean NEVER, want anyone to see my Google search history. Yikes.

  15. I think your blog was one of the first three I ever commented on!! So glad we have become friends and been able to hang out in real life :) Oh my gosh my old roommate is OBSESSED with WWE - like every monday night was "man show monday". Somehow I started being in the room when it was on and now I know more names than I thought I would :P That is awesome to hear Sallie and Perkins are rocking their goals this year!! I really need to get on their level :) I can barely remember how I learned information before Google and I'm okay with that! I feel validated when I start typing something in and the rest of it shows up haha.

  17. That's a long time to keep up with a blog! Good for you!! I google everything too. Sometimes I think I'm nuts for googling something, but then when it auto-fills what people have googled before, it makes me feel a little bit better about my question!!

  19. I won my fantasy football league the first year I played and I still brag about it today :) I never thought I'd be a stay at home mom. I love teaching so I just assumed I'd teach when I had kids, but I'm enjoying a little teaching hiatus.

  20. Oh the things you google as a new mom or just as a mom in general. ;) I would always laugh at my google history as well. What would we do without google at our fingertips? Actually set the baby down and look up answers in books?! Oh my! Haha.

  21. Yay for Sally and Perkins!! Keep up the great work! :) My husband is a wrestling fan so I can identify with thinking I'd NEVER watch it, but now I find myself checking it out every now and then with him. The things we do for love! :)
