Currently: May Edition

Happy Wednesday, everyone. This week is absolutely crawling by for me, I cannot believe it's only the middle of the work week right now! Let's hope the second half of this week speeds it up a little because I'm ready for the weekend already. Today I'm back for another monthly edition of the "Currently" link-up with Anne and Jenna!

Celebrating - Star Wars Day! Just kidding- I'm definitely not... I'm just not a Star Wars fan, I'm sorry. Jared is though so I'm pretty confident I saw him head off to work this morning with one of his nerdy graphic tees on ;) I'm just celebrating that it's our anniversary month and that we're having a baby NEXT MONTH.

Reading - Bringing up Bebe. I've read all the informational baby stuff I can- so this is more of a light, entertaining read- but also super interesting so far. Here's a summary of the plot via Amazon since they sum it up much better than I can:

Pondering - When this baby will come. Wouldn't it be nice if due dates actually meant something?! I've had it in my head all along that he's coming early... which likely means he'll come late. #help

Sipping - Water, water, water. I'm like a camel! I cannot go 30 minutes without drinking water or I feel like I'm going to die. I've always drank a lot of it but my consumption lately is through the roof. I tracked it this past week out of curiosity and I was averaging 140 oz a day!!

Going - No where, I hope! I am honestly just pooped by the end of a work day, and then at the end of a work week. It takes a lot for me to feel motivated to get up and out of the house in something other than sweats ;) I'm hoping to keep our obligations and calendars as free as possible in the coming weeks because I just need time to put these cankles feet up.

What are you up to this May?? Link up with the lovely hosts and make some new friends!

  1. FINALLY someone else who isn't a Star Wars fan :) I'm so bored by it! I read Bringing up Bebe a few weeks ago and I loved it. It's crazy to see how different parenting is in France and the US and to think about where my own parenting methods fall.

  3. Don't put a ton of pressure on your due date. C was 6 days overdue and I swear even then he didn't want to come out BUT you'll meet that little guy when the time is right. I can't believe you are oh so close to having him already.

  5. I just ordered that book!! I've only heard good things about it! And I've had a feeling this whole time that she's coming early, too... we're probably jinxing ourselves, ha!

  6. Eeeeee a baby in a month!!!! That is crazy talk! That book sounds really interesting. I am always interested in learning about what other cultures do because we would be ignorant to think ours is the best at everything. Sleep through the night at 2-3 months sounds heavenly haha!

  7. I was sure K was going to be late and the doctors were too but she surprised us all 4 days early. I can remember seeing her for the first time, my heart knew she was mine. It was amazing, the wait is worth it!

  8. My husband is definitely wearing some nerdy Star wars shirt today too! I'm pretty sure that he has Star Wars socks on too lol! Bringing Up Bebe sounds like such an interesting read, and I'm sure that it's a nice break from all the other baby books you were reading through!

  9. My week has been slow as well, I'm ready for Friday, going to a concert with my cousin for her birthday as well as seeing her younger sister graduate from college :)

  10. I can't believe how close you are to having a baby in your arms - I swear you JUST announced your pregnancy!

My week has flown by for some reason - that usually doesn't happen!

  11. Don't worry about being tired at the end of the week, it just happens and eventually you'll need your energy once baby is here so just take it easy :)

  14. Surprisingly this week is flying by for me. Probably because I have stuff going on this weekend that I'm not prepared for.

Bringing up Bebe sounds like a great read. Other cultures parenting styles are so interesting to me because I feel like parenting is such an individual thing as it is, but then there are whole cultures that seem to have better success with things like sleeping through the night...so they must be doing something we could learn from!

Stopping by from the Currently link-up.

  20. My brother is such a huge fan of Star Wars and every time he watch it, I try to understand it too. I just can't. I think you can't force the force. :)

    Have a wonderful month ahead.
