Football Friday... Kinda.

I know what you're thinking-- why is Erin writing about football in the middle of April? Well that's because football goes year 'round! Yesterday the 2016-17 NFL schedule was released and as always, I'm dissecting and analyzing it about ten different ways. From an employee standpoint, from a fan standpoint, from how it effects the holidays- you name it, I think of it. Overall it's not a bad schedule for my Bengals and from a work viewpoint I'm happy that we're away both Thanksgiving and Christmas weekends. I also think it's pretty cool that my guys play in London this year although my 4-month-old and I will not be in attendance.

Okay, enough football for now. Well, until the end of the month when the NFL Draft takes place. Any Chicago friends going to partake in the festivities? One day I'll make it there but until then I'll just stalk all the coverage I can. Since we had a chance to attend the combine this year, I'm really excited about seeing where some particular players end up!

Alright, now I really AM done with the football talk ;) I'm so incredibly glad to see another Friday though. I'm in much need of the low-key weekend Jared and I have in mind. There were a lot of busy evenings and sleepless nights this week and I feel like we barely saw each other! Luckily we'll have plenty of time to hang this weekend and I truly can't wait. The more pregnant I get, the more I seem to look forward to weekends... the office is wearing on me these days, I can tell you that much.

So bring on the beautiful weather, Ohio. I see sunshine and 70s on my radar for the next few days which couldn't make me any happier! Enjoy your weekend everyone!!

  4. Kevin was pretty happy with his Broncos schedule too. They play the Panthers in the pre-season so that will be interesting! I'm excited for draft day. We have a tradition that requires we order pizza and watch the draft. It's a fun one!

  5. So the schedule release for the Panthers was interesting, I can't believe our first game is a Superbowl rematch.

Also we play a few new teams in our regular season this year which could be interesting.

  8. YES! Wheat's favorite team is the Redskins, so we're a little bummed that the Bengals are playing them in London of all places. We would have loved to attend, but yeah - just not possible. I can't believe you'll have a four-month-old by then! AHHHH! Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend, love!

  10. I need to study the schedule a bit more closely, but our boys open in NY...against my husband's fave team. #maritalproblems HAHA :) We are trying to figure out which games we'll go so this year. I only have five stadiums left on my bucket list so we are trying to knock out at least a couple of those - maybe Denver in the early part of the year and Miami in the later part. We've considered KC or Dallas, too. Needless to say, I feel you on the Football Friday...the schedule release is always a BIG night for us!

  14. Good evening! !
    It is sad report.
Kumamoto Prefecture of Japan has been hit by a major earthquake.
    It is a magnitude 7.3.
I think that has been aired in news sites overseas.
Mobilize 25,000 land, sea and air force for relief.

  16. At the end of a key story - about an experience in his apartment in college - he stopped. He took a couple of steps to patriots game live his left, looked up and paused for what felt like an eternity.

  17. It is amazing to look at the 2012 season QB stats and see multiple rookies near the top. Drafting RGIII last year got many teams to the fantasy playoffs. Adding Colin Kaepernick late in the season took many teams to fantasy gold. Who from this year's draft will be the key players on your run to your championship? Below is the consensus review from Maximum Fantasy Sports for the new crop of NFL rookies.
