Halloween Weekend!

Pumpkins are carved and our candy bowl is stocked- I think we are ready for Halloween weekend over here! This bowl is one of my favorite festive items we own so it's what enticed me most to hand out candy this year ;)
Our bro/sis-in-law are coming over for a fun double date tomorrow and we can't wait! Even though our schedules are all so different I feel like we've been able to squeeze in more time together lately which rocks. Saturday will consist of dinner, passing out candy and probably ending the night with a scary movie if I can handle it. (Although I'd opt for a nice, non-scary round of Monopoly as well)
While we were carving our pumpkins a couple nights ago, this stray cat sat outside our door and stared at us for a solid 20 minutes. Kinda' creepy, kinda' sad because I felt bad for it too. It looked healthy, so I know someone has been feeding it at least. Maybe it just wanted in on all the Halloween fun, too?
Other than a little Halloween fun, Jared and I are going to get started on some house projects that have been put off for far too long so I'm pretty excited about that! We have a lot of downtime this weekend so I think we'll be able to get a lot done. And after enjoying a bye week, my Bengals are back in action for a HUGE game against the Steelers on Sunday. BRING IT ON! Whodey :)

  9. oh no, that poor kitty :( if you see it again, do me a favour and let it inside. people seriously steal and sacrifice black cats around halloween. we got our first cat around halloween and she is black, they literally wouldn't let us take her home until after halloween in case we sacrificed her :( so sad.
on a happier note, i love your bowl!

  10. Ignoring your last picture. I love that Halloween bowl, so cute!!! Poor little kitty :( We have some stray cats and dogs in our neighborhood and I always feel so bad for them. We have some dogs that belong to some people too that aren't very well taken care of either. I just want to scoop them all up and bring them home! Hope you have a great weekend!

  11. Your pumpkins turned out so great!! I am jealous of your carving skills. Mine are definitely sub-par, even after all these years of experience... ha :) Have to agree about the creepy cat - but he is SUPER cute anyways (Cat lover, sorry can't help it!) Have a happy Halloween!!

  15. It sounds like y'all have a fun filled and maybe spooky Halloween planned! Maybe instead of watching a scary movie y'all could watch a fun one like Hocus Pocus because I'm like you and try not to watch scary movies!

  20. Your pumpkins turned out amazing! So jealous! I haven't carved a pumpkin in forever. They don't last down here in the heat so I just never bother. And WOOHOO for being 7-0! That game was so ugly and the officiating was AWFUL but all that matters is we won! Now I just hope we can beat them at home too. WHO DEY!!!
