Questions for Me, from You

One of my long-time bloggy friends Samantha tagged me a in a fun get-to-know you post (a couple weeks ago- oops!) so I figured I'd participate. ;) Aka- I always need blog topic ideas. Here are the questions she gave me- maybe you all will learn a thing or two about me. Or maybe I've shared just about all I can share about my life on this blog... I've been blogging a long time you guys!
You guys already knew I don't do normal pics very well, right?! ;)

1. What's one thing we will always find in your purse, besides the basics?
My Erin Condren planner. It's huge, but so are all my purses; and a multitude of colored pens and Sharpies. It's a running joke in my family about how seriously large my purse is and how I have to go elbows-deep at times to find what I'm looking for. I'm pretty confident there is a photo floating around of me digging in my purse but I'm sorry I don't have it to share today. ;)

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Let's see... I'll be 33 (wow!) hopefully in a career I love (whatever that might be!), maybe a kid or two, preferably in the midst of building our "forever" home and having a hand in the drafting of the plans! I'm a wannabe-architect, I seriously think I missed my calling in life!

3. Which show on TV should we all go binge watch immediately? Who's your favorite character on said show?
I know a lot of you probably already watch it, but if you don't already, get on Netflix and watch New Girl. It's impossible to pick a favorite character because it changes every episode. I equally love every character on that show because they are all so uniquely hilarious!

4. Chicago Deep Dish or the New York Slice? (getting real deep here)
I've never really had either one I don't think.... Oh, the horror!! Guess that means I need to get myself to each of those cities in the near future. For research purposes, of course.

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you do?
Italy is my dream vacation. I'd love to the touristy gondola ride in Venice, explore art in Florence, see the museums, visit the Pantheon in Rome, eat all the food I can, you name it- I want to do it. I could happily spend a month over there if I had the means to. AND if I wasn't terrified of the flight.

6. What's your favorite blog post you've ever written?
Tricky question... am I supposed to have one all lined up? I mean, screaming "We're Debt Free" in blog world felt pretty awesome. But then again, we racked up that debt having a blast in college because I'd go back to living in a dorm right now. PS- Every once in awhile I write a pretty fantastic poem about Christmas or football- I think I might have to make this a monthly thing ;)

Anything else you guys want to know about me? I'm a (fairly) open book! Happy Tuesday!

  2. Love this! NYC pizza is way better than Chicago - just so ya know. :) And will you design my forever home too?!

  3. Um, the correct answer to the pizza question is New York. Why do people even debate this??? Trust me, I'm a native New Yorker, so obviously I know ;)

  4. Agree on all counts! Being able to help design our "forever" home where were neighbors will be perfect ;) hehe... Any pizza is amazing in my book, and YES to Italy!!!! Love you!

  5. My parents are both from the Chicago area and will tell you that most people from the area prefer thin crust pizza over the deep dish. I have had both NYC- and Chicago-style pizzas and they're both delish!

  6. I would love love love to go to Italy one day. I think that it would be just beautiful...not to mention delicious! I would have to go with NY pizza of Chicago. The deep dish is just so....deep. Haha! Though, everyone could use an excuse for more pizza in their life...right??

  8. I just finished New Girl last night & now I'm sad because I know there's 5 seasons out there but only 3 are on Netflix. Get it together Netflix! I need the rest!

I thought about being an architect for awhile when I was younger. I would take all of the house plan books my parents had from when our house was built & draw on the plans to make them my own style.

  9. May I throw out VEGAS! You can take a gondola ride, climb the Eiffel Tower, eats loads of yummy food. Its basically Italy on our home turf. ;)

  12. I love carrying my big mama planner around with me - so on your page there! If it's not in my work bag, I will change purses so I can accommodate it!

  13. Yes, your poems/songs are amazing! We've already discussed our mutual love for New Girl and now I'm just impatiently waiting for next season to start. Italy is absolutely the best dream destination in my opinion. I desperately want to go back and hit Cinque Terre next time!

  17. Chicago deep dish and NY style are both delicious in their own unique way and I highly suggest trying both ;-)

And I agree with the fav characters on New Girl....they're all hysterical! Winston has been my front runner lately but love them all!

  18. I've never watched an episode of New Girl but have always heard people talking about how good it is. Maybe that will be my next show to watch on Netflix once I've finished Sons of Anarchy and Gilmore Girls.

  19. I used to be a big purse carrying kind of gal and then I started carrying a diaper bag and cut back on things I "needed". Now I carry a smaller purse. I definitely wouldn't mind if you stored me in your suitcase for that trip. :)

  20. This is weird, but I always keep floss in my purse. My teeth are caverns for bits of food, and nothing is quite as annoying as getting something stuck that you can't get out!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh, and also, I'd choose Chicago deep dish obviously, but both have their purposes. You can only eat 1 piece of deep dish before you get full, but NY style is good too for the thin slice!

  22. Such a fun post!!! I love New Girl, Schmidt always has me cracking up!! And I love me some pizza regardless of the style haha!

When you decide to go to Chicago for your research of their pizza, let me know & I'll travel down & join ya for that. Ha!

  24. what a fun post! Italy has been my dream forever as well. The flight is so short from the US compared to Sydney lol. I'm so excited! We are only going to Rome (only?!) I wish we were able to afford Venice as well (both in $$ and vacation days lol)

  25. I laughed out loud at "Or maybe I've shared just about all I can share about my life on this blog... " ... serrrriously lol maybe that's why I can never find anything to say anymore, maybe I'm all blogged out lol. I would loveeee to go to Italy and do all the touristy things, too. Groupon has amazing like 10 and 15 day Euro vacations that I'd love to bite the bullet on, but then I get nervous and wonder why they are on Groupon lol

  26. So I swear I commented on this the day you posted it, but now I don't see my comment (I rarely read other's comments, so it's odd I noticed this time!). Anyways...

Thanks for joining in on the fun! You absolutely need to head to Chicago and NYC to try both. I mean pizza is good regardless, but I think I'd have to go with Chicago for this one (and I'm a huge thin crust lover, so that's saying something!).

Also, Italy. GO! I went when I was little and I remember how awesome it was, even though I couldn't fully appreciate it then. I definitely want to go back!
