Freethrow Friday?

I'm just going to say it right now... even if you think you aren't a fan of basketball, you should be watching March Madness! I watched almost every game yesterday (yay for working in the world of sports- we have tv's everywhere!) and even though I don't have a team I'm tied to? I was on the edge of my seat so many times. Multiple games were decided by one point! A couple games went into overtime! These teams just play with so much passion and March Madness seriously rocks. I don't even consider myself a big college hoops fan, but this time of year? I am.

I just figured I should warn everyone that I'll be obsessing over the tournament and staying up entirely too late for the next few weeks. There is just so much great stuff to watch. Like the Georgia State Coach falling out of his chair when his son hits the winning 3-point shot. Doesn't get better than that!
Needless to say, I'll likely be posted up on the couch tonight doing the exact same thing again ;) Games, games and more games! Jared and I have a busy weekend ahead of us with lots of plans and places to be, so tonight calls for some relaxing. I still don't think I've fully recovered from our weekend away. Geez, that makes me sound old!
So who's watching the tournament? Is your alma mater hanging in there? Are you a fan of the college basketball all year 'round or just love a good bracket buster? Happy Friday and cheers to making your free-throws... I'm looking at you, Purdue.

  1. Not gonna lie, I always find myself thinking "I really wish I was a fan of basketball" in March because it's all everyone talks about! I just cannot get into it though.

Enjoy your relaxation tonight and your busy weekend to follow :)

  2. I don't watch basketball except during March Madness, but (so far) I always do better than Jarrod on our brackets and I LOVE IT. Mostly because it means I get to choose a date night and he has no say so if he doesn't want to do it.

  7. I really need to get with the program and realize that there's basketball going on (can you tell I'm not really into sports?) haha! I had a student I was working with the other day at work and he was like, "I almost missed my appointment to watch the tournament" but I had no idea what he was talking about. Silly me!

  9. BAHAHA that's hysterical! I let Nolan choose a bracket. Hearing him pronounce the teams was the best part :) :)

  16. Even though I'm not a big basketball fan at all, I always fill out a bracket and follow March Madness. You're right about the passion - those guys give it their all and it's inspiring! Wheat's alma mater, Davidson, got knocked out in the first round, so he's still emotionally recovering from that. At this point, I'm rooting for anyone not called Kentucky. ;) Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
