Friday Favorites

Happy, Happy Friday!! I now understand what all the hype is about weekends. Since I don't have any weekend hours I am fully enjoying the time away from the office each weekend. Whether that's being super productive and getting stuff done, sneaking away to Niagara falls, or vegging out in front of Netflix I am a big fan of Saturday & Sunday again. (Just let me enjoy it for the few months it lasts!)

And since it's Friday, we talk happy things and favorite things. Like...

- Trying new recipes and having them be a big hit with both Jared and I.

- Pinning the crap outta' Easter stuff. I mean, it's only 10 weeks away, which means I can start decorating in 5 weeks, right? ;) Fun fact- Easter is my absolute favorite holiday, ever!

- This doTerra oil. It's a respiratory blend and it has really made a world of difference for Jared and I both. We are breathing much better at night which results in better sleep! I'm no expert on oils so if you have questions ask Kristin, she'd be happy to help ;) Any other oil users out there?

- Blog friends that just get me.

- Being in mid-conversation and saying "when we're out of debt" because I totally forgot WE ARE! See? It still has not fully sunk-in that our student loans are gone forever!

- Drinking tons of water out of this fun jar I got for Christmas. I easily drink 2 liters of water a day so gosh darnit, it needs to be in something cute. Plus this bad boy holds 25 ounces which is nice.

-Designing blogs! You guys, nothing makes me happier than to make someone else happy with how their blog looks. Can I just do this full-time?? ;)

- And as always, this guy! I'm still thinking about how much fun we had last weekend on our getaway... and daydreaming about where we can head next!

  3. I used my entire little bottle of Breathe when I was sick for pretty much the entire month of December. It was my absolute favorite. Now I keep trying to remember to use lavender because my body thinks that no sleep is a lot more fun than getting enough :P

  4. My mom loves her DoTerra oils! Blog friends are some of the best friends! I really need to up my water intake, I may need to get a big glass like that, right now I use one of those tall shaker bottles. I tried a new recipe last night and LOVED it, that type of success always makes my day because I've had my fair share of wasted food due to a bad recipe! lol

  11. What recipe did you try? I think we get in a rut during the winter months, so I need to try something new!
I have never tried those oils, but lots of friends use them and swear by them. The only thing I tried was lavender oil for Xavier when he was a baby to get him to sleep at night...didn't work :( That kid still doesn't sleep through the night! UGH!
Yeh for random weekend getaways! And I might be hitting you up soon for a redesign :)

  12. I have been wanting to get back in to oils. My husband has horrible allergies and I often wonder if they could help him. I use tea tree and lavender all the time for years now and want to explore others.

    Have a great weekend!!!

  17. Girl, you're speaking straight to my heart when you say you're daydreaming about where to go next. I know we've discussed this before, but I seriously plan out FULL vacations that I likely won't even take! Can I just be a travel agent full-time? By the way, I bet you could totally start a design business and do it full-time! You're super talented and obviously driven. Have a great weekend!

  18. I was just thinking about you the other day when I was looking at my blog and thinking that it needs an update! I decided to wait until the baby was born so I could include her name in there somewhere. But if you're still in the blog designing business, you have a customer come April or so :)

    Have an awesome work-free weekend!

  25. A lady I work with is into essential oils and sells them. I am thinking more and more of getting on this train. I bought some for my sister that she wanted for Christmas, and I wish I had gotten some for myself. I want to learn more about them and use them. I think it's a great, natural way to help with common ailments and just to feel better overall.
