What's Going On...

Because every post needs a photo and this was too cute not to share ;)
THINKING - That I miss a lot of my favorite blogs and bloggers. So many people take "breaks" around the holidays, and I can understand that, but goodness I miss stalking you all! ;)

WATCHING - Two Christmas movies a week, at this point. Jared and I are plowing through them like nobody's business. There are so many great ones, we have to get them all in!

EATING - Lots of grilled chicken. Jared and I are trying to detox after all the birthday/holiday eating the past few weeks.

LISTENING TO - A little bit of everything. While I'm definitely enjoying Christmas music (Straight No Chaser pandora station = amazing) I can't listen to it all day long so I flip back and forth.

READING - Steph, are you ready for this?! I finally started my first ever Harry Potter book this week!!! The verdict is still out on if I will like it or not ;)

MAKING- Nothing at the moment, but maybe I can find a Christmas craft buried deep in the archives of my dusty, abandoned Pinterest board. Maybe, just maybe, I could do one this month.

WEARING - Would you judge me if I told you I had on candy cane pj's? Like longjohn style pjs? Let me know if you're going to judge me and then I'll tell you what I'm wearing...

NEEDING - A mental health day. That's what I call a vacation day where I have nothing to do but watch Lifetime movies and read books. That's also what I like to call "nonrealistic during football season."

WISHING - I could see into the future! Tell me I'm not alone on that one?!

FEELING - Stressed, but what else is new? Jared tells me all the time I'm going to get ulcers, and he's probably right. I am such a worrier and even though I tell myself not to, I can't seem to stop most of the time. I worry about what's going to get done this week, what our finances will look like next month, where my career will be in a year, you name it- I'm a pro at worrying.

LOVING - All our Christmas decorations. We have too many, I know we do, but I still love it. Every part of the house just feels cozy and festive now!

WANTING - A bazillion dollars. What?! #truth

What's going on with you lately???

  2. Hope you get your bazillion dolla dolla bills!

I think you're going to like the HP books. They are long and descriptive, but fun to read. Especially the first one where you're getting introduced to everything :)!

  4. Jealous of your pj's!! I have candy cane fuzzy socks that I love wearing around this time of the year (I wear them all year long but around this time of the year it makes me feel festive LOL). I have never read any of the HP books, I've only watched the first HP movie, too. People think I am crazy, but I just can't seem to get into it. YESS YES YES on seeing the future, I probably spend too much of my time thinking about it lol. A bazillion dollars would be pretty great right now ;)

  6. Girl, I totally wish I could see the future! You are not alone on that!
I've noticed blogging totally slows down during the holidays! I've been such a slacker on stalking... but I'm here to catch up on your life now :)
Do you have a list of the Christmas shows you're watching? I need some ideas for Eric and I!
Yay, I bet you'll get into the HP books! I bought Eric the first one on audio so that he can listen during his commute to work :) He's not so sure about it but I know he'll be hooked as well!

  8. Haha I'm one of the blogger guilty of slowing down during the holidays! As much as I love it I've just had so many other things going on! And I've been trying to detox a bit too but everyone keeps making so many delicious things I can't resist! I've been listening to Christmas music all day eerrrryyyyday LOL!

  9. I just finished reading all the Harry Potter books a few weeks ago and coming from a skeptic I think you will love them! The first book takes a while to get interesting, but keep reading cause they keep getting better!

  10. HOW HAVE YOU NEVER READ HARRY POTTER???? I'm so excited you're reading them. Definitely try to make it through the first few- they definitely pick up.

  12. Keep reading. Harry Potter gets SO good... In other news, today is my Friday! Heading to the Bears/ Cowboys game tonight. Looking forward to your newest Sallie & Perkins update... Almost have my smallest credit card paid off - hopefully within in the month and excited to get this snowball going. Also trying to detox- had some lettuce wraps, eggs, chicken stir fry and spaghetti squash this week.

  13. Candy cane long john PJ's?? Yes, I am judging you...as AWESOME! ;) I want long john PJ's so bad! Even though it's 65 degrees here and I really don't need them. I am the QUEEN of worrying, it's ridiculous! I am really trying to do better, but I have always worried about everything.

  14. I agree with you on many of these! Especially the money!

  15. Christmas movies are my favorite this time of year..it's so much fun to curl up on the couch after work and forget about real life responsibilities for a bit!

  16. I would be concerned if your WERENT wearing candy cane pajamas.

I have never read Harry Potter! I have no plans to ever read it. Totally not my thing.

Ugh the worrying. Yes. I so feel you. I pray about this a lot, because I can so easily make myself sick when anxiety and worry. Today is especially bad!

  20. I'm a pro worrier as well. Especially right now, I have to tell myself to chill out otherwise I get sick from worrying to much. I looked at what was the biggest stressor in my life (school at the time) and got rid of it. Ever since then, I can keep my stress to a normal level and I haven't been sick from it since. Hope you get one of those mental health days soon :)

  21. I come from a long line of worriers and fretters...I finally got a handle on it 90% of the time. I feel freeee. LOL

I almost bought candy cane PJs last night.

  22. At. Long. Last. HARRY POTTER IS IN YOUR LIFE! I'm pumped to hear what you think about it because it's my personal favorite. I also put a bazillion dollars on my Christmas list this year, so we'll see if that shows up under the tree. Finally, no judgment here on the Christmas pajamas. My co-workers probably think I'm living out of my car based on my clothes lately.

  23. Staying home and watching Lifetime movies, yes please! And I'm right there with ya, my middle name is Worry! Seriously, when are we not worrying?!

  24. Okay so I tried to read Harry Potter a couple of times over the years and I just HATED it. But my friends and my mom and bloggers (!) kept begging me to give it another try, so I finally did this year. I started book 1 in August and read them all in a row, and with a few hiccups, I LOVE them. I never thought I would like them, it's not my genre at all, but I love that I found the platform. I hope you enjoy them too! I don't know how far you are in them yet, but don't give up before Hogwarts. I gave up before the magical part happened every time before and that was where I went wrong. Enjoy!

  25. I read the HP books for the first time at the beginning of the year and I really enjoyed them. I never thought it would be something I liked but they really surprised me. I still need to watch all the movies!

I am so behind on Christmas movie watching. I have only seen Elf so far this year. I want to watch them ALLLLLL! Totally not judging, you know....if that would be something you were wearing.

I am a worrywart too! I really wish I would let it go, but it is a hard thing to break!

  26. Let me know where you get your bazillion dollars so I can get me some! ;)

  27. my mind is still blown that you've haven't read harry potter. it kinda breaks my heart, i love harry potter so much! i can't remember, have you seen the movies?! if you haven't, read (and like) the books first. the movies are excellent, but i'm a firm believer in reading the book before seeing the movie ;)

  28. My husband and I closed on our house today (HALLELUJAH!) so now we're working on getting everything moved by the 17th at the latest. He said if we get everything moved by the 12th, I can make Christmas cards like I've done the past few years. I'm getting anxious to put up my decorations at the new house too! So, packing & moving is what I'm up to! Oh, and totally not judging the candy cane pjs. I bought snowflake ones several weeks ago!

  29. I read your blog yesterday morning and suddenly got very stressed that we haven't started any Christmas movies yet. Time to get the long list started!! Yayayay, Christmas movies.

  30. If you wont' judge my footie fox pjs, I won't judge your candy cane long john ones. Cool? Also, as a person who found out she had ulcers at this time last year, they suck. I'm not sure what caused my ulcers, but they were no bueno. Neither was the sore throat you have from an endoscopy. Neither is waking up in the middle of your endoscopy. Just so we're clear. Anyway, I'd tell you to stop worrying, but that's not going to happen. Just keeping it real because we all worry about something. My advice is to worry less - write down all the things you worry about and identify which ones you can control and which you can't. Maybe also write down what it is about those things that trouble you. What can you do for the things within your control to help you worry about them less? Do that. Then pray like hell for the things you can't control :)

  32. yayyy Harry Potter! hope you love them! I get sad when bloggers take breaks too. I mean, how can I stalk you?!

  33. I am FINALLY catching up on blog reading. I've missed you!! I'm so happy that you are giving it a chance. You'll have to let me know what you think. And, in case you were referencing my break :), I'm back now.

Also, you are only watching 2 Christmas movies a week? We are averaging 4 :) I love them ALL!
