Feeling Human Again

A lot of times Friday is the day of the week for listing favorites, or good things about your week, etc - but I figured I'd mix things up and do that on a Monday. Since I got to have a real weekend which involved NO working, it's like I felt part of the normal world again. Having two days off in a row honestly felt like a vacation to me. I can't imagine if I ever switch to a more 9-5 job how that'll feel. I won't know what to do with myself on Saturdays and Sundays!! ;)

- BFF time on Friday night also included new puppy snuggles. I can't remember the last time I got to play with a puppy and I was in heaven!! You know, until my eyes got really watery and starting swelling up. Yep, I'm severely allergic to most animals but sometimes I just can't stay away from them!

- Jared and I finally started making some travel plans for the 2015. I am so excited about what we're doing and will definitely be sharing more details once it's all finalized :)

- Speaking of Jared, his birthday is next week! I fully believe everyone should get an entire birthday week (if not month!) of celebrating so I've been finding small little ways to sneak in birthday fun. Donuts before church were included in the festivities over the weekend.

- I made the most delicious Cajun pork roast with okra + more on Sunday. SO good and as most crockpot meals are- so easy! I have a serious obsession with my slow cooker.

It was so awesome having a weekend away from the office. I'll admit, I stayed in my pj's for the majority of the weekend and loved every second of it. My body and mind needed the rest and relaxation big time. So there's not a lot of pictures today, no big night out to tell you about, but just know that I'm going into this Monday finally FINALLY feeling like a human again ;)

  1. I love my crockpot. I will try find a crockpot version of pretty much any recipe possible because it's easier & smells better.

  2. Oh my gosh... travel planning for 2015?! How exciting! Eric and I need to do that... although Disneyland is definitely a huge goal at the moment! We want to take Mia next year, right after Thanksgiving so that we can see it decorated for Christmas, but before we have to pay for Mia's ticket (ha ha, which is age 3) I'm hoping to squeeze a cruise in as well. We'll see what happens. I hope you're coming to Utaaaaaaaaah ;)
I am going to email you back today (but remind me just in case I forget!)
