Support Adoption!

Long before my niece was adopted, I feel like I've had a heart and a passion for adoption. I knew one day our family would grow through adoption and I've prayed for these children I didn't know countless times. Numerous family members, friends and even my boss have been blessed by adoption. Did you know there are over 100,000 children in foster care in the U.S. waiting to be adopted? In 1990, Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy’s®, accepted President George H.W. Bush’s invitation to be the spokesperson for a national adoption awareness campaign. Just two years later, Dave established The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® as a non-profit public charity with one primary goal: to help every child in foster care find a loving, permanent family.

Since adoption is very close to Jared and I's hearts, we regularly donate to an adoption agency to support the great things they're doing for children all over the country. We dream of one day adding to our own family through adoption and/or foster care. If adoption is something you'd like to supoort - or if you just like Wendy's®- you can support Dave Thomas' foundation this fall too! It only costs you a dollar and you get coupons in return, too!
Purchase a Wendy’s® Halloween Coupon Book for $1 at participating Wendy’s to support foster care adoption. Ninety cents of every $1 Halloween Coupon Book sold between September 13 – October 31, 2014 will benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®. Coupons are valid for use: November 1, 2014 through February 1, 2015.This year, Wendy’s® aims to give $10 million to The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®.

Thanks to Wendy’s® consumers and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®, 4,000+ children have found adoptive families. How amazing is that?! It just goes to show that if you have a heart and a desire to help someone, you can. I bought a handful of these Coupon Books and have been giving them out to friends and family. Everyone loves a good coupon! The way I see it, every time I put a coupon book into someone's hands, it spreads awareness about the children out there who are in desperate need of their forever family.

It's no secret how obsessed I am with my niece, and I cannot imagine a life without her sweet laugh and hilarious facial expressions. I mean, look! The back of her head is even adorable! ;) Thanks to adoption, our family has so much joy! Visit your local Wendy’s® to purchase a Jr. Frosty™ Halloween Coupon Book* for $1, which benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®!

  10. I can't wait to squeeze little miss hopefully next month. GO WENDYS!!!! :) Caleb and I regularly chat about how cool it would be to adopt a sweet child from foster care one day. No child deserves to go without a family!!!!

  11. What a great cause they support!! Your niece is adorable!!! Being an aunt is the bestest!!!!

  12. What a great way to give back! My Dad adopted me when I was 9, he married my birth mother. And I know it's not like the normal adoption you hear about nowadays, it's still very important to me to give back to those who go through the process.

Thanks SO much for taking the time to read and comment on my blog! I read each one and love to respond and chat with you! :)
