Friday Confessions

I see a lot of "I confess" posts and even link-ups but I have never jumped on the confession thing until now. This Friday feels like the perfect time to change that, even if today isn't really a "Friday" for me... yes, it's back to the crazy stretch of work days with no days off. Today's 12 of 19 in case you were wondering! That's also the reason today's post includes ecards and GIFs- you're welcome.

- I confess... that my new(er) short hair definitely does not work well unwashed but sometimes I do it anyway.

- I confess... that I am obsessive about planning my future and sometimes I have real issues with not being in control. It's a work in progress, that's for sure. #controlfreak

- I confess... that I hate missing church during the fall when I work so much. It's always the highlight of my week, but I am at least thankful I can listen to the podcast online later. Yay, technology!

- I confess... that I am incapable of keeping up with laundry. 100% incapable of it!!

- I confess... that I have stuff in an online cart for probably about 10 different stores right now but my bank account (and student loan!) keeps telling me no.

- I confess... that when we make our final debt payment I'm positive I will cry tears of joy. I can't even fathom life without those payments but I'm excited to find out soon!

- I confess... that Jared and I totally binge-watched New Girl season 3 all week since it's on Netflix now. Love that show and can't wait to be caught up.

- I confess... that I only cooked an actual dinner once this week. Whoops!

- I confess... that I'm pretty angry with a coworker right now. Post to come, don't worry.

- I confess... that I let football season get the best of me sometimes. Working a lot wears a person down but I need to somehow find the energy to keep after other aspects of my life. My job cannot be my everything!

- I confess... that I'm terribly guilty of wishing away time. Right now, I'd like to skip ahead to NEXT weekend when I finally get a day off. And after that? Let's just go right to Thanksgiving, shall we? ;)

- I confess... that these confessions came way too easily and maybe I'll have to post these more often.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! I hope you all aren't stuck at work like me ;)

  1. You need to get some dry shampoo! I use Not Your Mothers- I love it and swear by it, or try the sea salt spray (same brand) I usually use that the day before I wash my hair ;)

I love podcast of services, our church does it too so I don't feel so bad if I miss on actually going.

I am totally the same w. online shopping!!

despite being at work, hope you have a great weekend!!!

  5. Confessions posts are addictive! :) I do one every week and each time I think it's going to be hard for me to come up with more and then I just start writing and writing. It's therapeutic!

I am totally guilty of wishing away time too, I'm trying to be better about that and enjoy each day!

  6. I try to do a confession post at least once a month. It helps whine and complain if need be. Hope the next week goes by fast for you and you can enjoy your day off. Do you have anything planned or do you just wanna take it easy?

  7. Isn't New Girl hilarious? I love Winston. He's so wonderfully weird. I also find myself wishing the work week (although I have a normal work week) away. Not good. I need to just make time for fun during the week, too.

  8. Girl, just wait until you have a baby. Then you'll truly understand the meaning of never being caught up on laundry, HA!!

Hope time flies until you get a day off!! xoxo

  9. Have you noticed when you leave an item in your online cart for a day or two, a lot of times the price will drop or they'll send you a discount code?! I had no idea until I read that the other day (forget which blog I read that on) and then it happened to me this week... another little money saving tip! ;) Aaand the rest of it?! I know this is just the beginning of the crazy season for you... hope you can find some down time somewhere in your busy days!!

  12. Ahhh several straight days of work is no bueno!! Just keep hanging in there and it'll all be done soon enough. In the meantime, kill your coworker with so much kindness that they just can't even handle it. LOL! Happy "Friday" girl!

  18. Laundry is my arch nemesis. As soon as it is done, I am getting changed and making more dirty laundry. UGH. Sometimes getting it out on the blog makes me feel free of the confessions. Happy "Friday" and good luck with the next week!

  21. I would cry too if I finally paid off those stupid student loans!!! I realized last night that season 3 of new girl is finally on Netflix so I'm sure I'll finish that this weekend :) Don't worry - I can't wait for thanksgiving either! Some things are just SO great you can't help but wish time worked faster sometimes!

  22. I can never keep up with laundry either dang it...and I wish time away too except not lately. I have way too much to do before Aiden gets here. Haha. I need time to slow down for just a few weeks then we can speed to Thanksgiving. :)

  23. Having a baby definitely put a stop to me planning my future AND wishing time away... but I feel your pain! I was guilty of both for about 28 years of my life, and I'm quite certain it's not a good way to live!

  24. Love this! Love you! Love the eCards! DO NOT love your coworker!

  25. I feel the same way about my hair, especially since I have bangs now. It's so much easier having long hair when you want to be lazy and not do it (or wash it). I miss those days.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have the same issue too with the washing of the short hair, I have to do it every single day or I look like a homeless person. It's horrible. Even putting a baseball cap on doesn't cut it. I'm growing mine back out.

  28. I too am guilty of always wanting to plan my future and wishing away time to something exciting. That ecard about work and wishing your life away one day at a time - woah! All the more reason to find a job that doesn't feel like work!
