It's another day of Disney over here. Hopefully you all don't get too sick of the magical explosion on my blog… because we've got a few more days of it ;) Starting with that lovely picture above of me in line WAY too early to get into Hollywood Studios. Once again, they opened about 15 minutes early and we made a mad dash to get the big rides in first. Toy Story Mania is where it's at! Jared always beats me in points, but my accuracy is always way better ;)
And obviously after riding the ride (twice in a row!) you have to meet Buzz and Woody! They were super fun to interact with and Jared said something about "Spanish Buzz" (I hope you've seen Toy Story 3!) and Buzz did a little bullfighter pose! Plus I pulled a blogger movie and grabbed a couple selfies with each of them. When in Disney, right?!
The other bigger rides we hit up were the Rockin' Rollercoaster- where they blare Aerosmith music in your ears during the ride- such a cool experience. You've got to ride it in the front car if you get a chance.
After that the Hollywood Tower of Terror was on our list. Let me tell you, that ride SCARES ME every time and the ride photo will certainly prove it. I mean, if our faces aren't funny enough -and I'm pretty sure they are- just look at everyone else on the ride too!
Lunch that day was at Mama Melrose's restaurant and it was a carb-fest I was happy to participate in. We were STUFFED when we left there! It's a good thing you walk so much in Disney World… otherwise I would have come back 10 pounds heavier!
Also, have you other Disney nerds ever looked for the 'hidden Mickeys' in the parks? There are literally over a THOUSAND of them, all over the parks, resorts and restaurants. I spotted -pun intended- this little guy in the lobby of our restaurant that day. Score!
Other highlights from the day definitely included hanging out with Minnie in her official dressing room. We walked in and she instantly pointed out my bow and did a lil' Minnie hop-skip-eroo with excitement. I'm so glad they snagged a picture of it… Minnie and I are totally BFFs now.
We also met a few other friends throughout the day ;) What can I say? We are just big kids at heart!
Another favorite part of the Hollywood Studios for us is visiting the Art of Animation building. There is a ton of original artwork done by Disney artists to look at, and the graphic design nerd in me is totally fascinated by it. In addition to that this is where you can sit down and do a 20 minute class with a real-life Disney artist and draw a character. We did this multiple times, both days we visited this park!
The Beauty and the Beast theater show at H.S. is NOT one to miss. We watched it twice- it's that good! Everyone is so talented… and while I watch this show I am constantly asking myself how I can get hired to be one of the back-up dancers for this show. Any connections, let me know ;)
We finished our time at the park with incredible seats at "Fantasmic" the incredible show with water, fire, laser projections, music, fireworks… you name it, they use it!
Since the park closed relatively early that day, we decided to walk over to the Boardwalk, a fun area we've heard about but hadn't visited on our last trip. It was SO nice out that night so we enjoyed walking by the water, playing some games, people watching and of course- snacking on some Mickey Pretzels!
