Goals for September

My girl Erica is hosting a monthly goals link-up and I figured what better way to keep myself on track with all that I'd like to accomplish in September? Especially since I wrote this post and so many of you encouraged me to work hard on my fitness goals- I'm feeling more motivated than ever! If you want to link up your own goals anytime this coming month, hop on over and add your post here.

September Goals
1. Work out 4x a week
This will be a huge challenge for me, as I'm lucky to work out 4x a MONTH right now.

2. Pay off an even larger sum of our student loans than last month.
Another big challenge as well, but I'm certain Perkins Jared and I can do it. August had quite a few unexpected expenses and we were still able to rock it. Hoping September can be easy and affordable ;)

3. Make time to work on my book.
I've mentioned it many times, but I've been writing a book for who-knows-how-long and it always seems to take a back burner to other things. I'm determined to have the book completely done before 2013 is over with, so I need to work on it regularly if I want to get there!

4. Don't drink pop for the entire month.
This.Is.Terrifying. But pop is so bad for me and I'm pretty positive if I can just go a few weeks without it, I'll be able to break the habit. Bring onnnn the caffeine-withdrawal headaches.

What do you hope to accomplish this coming month? Any tips to help me accomplish my goals?

  1. Tea. Sweet tea or unsweetened tea, that'll help with the caffeine headaches. You can even do the lowest dosage of caffeine and it'll still help!

When I kicked my pop habit (over a year now!) I drank even more water than I do know. More to keep my hands and mouth occupied and not noticing the lack of liquid. And be occupied!

  3. Be careful with the dropping of pop too fast...I'd ween down to every other day, maybe even switching to either Diet or the 10 calories and invest in ice tea :)

  4. Not drinking pop is rough at first but definitely gets easier! And I lost like 10 pounds once I gave it up.. It ends up being a win win, really! How cool that you're writing a book. Have you written on here what it's about? :) have a great weekend! XO

  5. I cut down on the soda and it is hard at first. I tried cutting it out completely cold turkey at first and made it 15 days of no soda before slipping up. What helps me is buying the flavored sparkling waters and bringing them to work.

  9. Arbonne'z fizz sticks will take those soda cravings away AND make your morning foggy head go away :)

Great goals, I know you've got this! I've been thinking about writing a book too. I have maybe a chapter written. Eeesh. How did you get me to admit that?

  11. I need to exercise and get out of the house since I work from home. I think it'll be a much easier goal to accomplish when it's not 999 degrees and humid everyday.

  12. I pretty much need to accomplish the same goals - only I'm not writing a book, though I've always really wanted to. Good Luck girl, I have a feeling you're going to rock it.

  13. Dropping in from Erica's link up! Those are some great goals! I can totally relate to needing to kick the pop habit. I've weaned myself off it in the past by only letting myself drink it if I was eating out at a restaurant and it really helped satisfy the cravings and made it a treat to look forward to rather than something I 'needed'. Good Luck with your goals!

  14. Coffee is my friend! :) I don't drink a lot of pop, but I am working on drinking more water.. I've been bringing a water bottle full to work, and my goal is to drink it all by lunch and then fill it again and drink it all before I go home! It's hard, especially when I have to go potty all the time! lol

My goal is to exercise 3 times a week.. I made it once this past week.. it's just been so darn hot and humid!
