Football Friday!!! {Link-Up!}

Here, here!! Let the Football-Friday link-up begin!!! It's a shame it's taken me so long to to host this, but if we're being totally honest here.... the whole link-up thing is intimidating. First off, figuring out how the heck to create and link one took me entirely too long. And now, the whole "Will anyone link up? Did I even set it up right? Is this lame?" debate will start in my brain.
Love, Fun & Fotball

Regardless of if 2 people or 200 people (oh, please do!) link-up, I'm excited that it's August and I can finally shout from the rooftops that football season is here! Oh, yes...the Bengals play the Falcons on August 8th. That is a tiny little 6 days away, friends. Without further adieu, I bring you Erin's Fabulous Football Friday Favorites ;)
As if you need this explained. Oh, okay.... since you're dying to hear it again. THE Cincinnati Bengals are obviously my heart and soul. Always have been, always will be. It also helps that the Bengals are what brought Jared and I together and we got engaged on their precious turf. Love, sweet love. The Bengals WILL win a playoff game this year--- write it down, you heard it here first!

The NFL definitely has my heart, which I know is totally backwards to so many of you. I do love college ball too, I just don't get into it nearly as much as I do the pro's. That being said, I of course have to cheer on my homestate OSU Buckeyes.

But also? A recent development shows that I will also be cheering for the Minnesota Gophers. You see, Kristin claims she will cheer for my Bengals, if I root on her Gophers. Seems like a fair trade to me. I mean, I vacationed in Minnesota once and loved it, my high school colors were maroon and gold, some of my fave bloggers are from there.... easy transition! I'm in!

Always a tough choice. Anything that I can nervous-eat all game long usually works for me. My favorites definitely include chips & guacamole (specifically Megan's recipe for it) and the world-famous cheddar bacon ranch dip. Also know as 'crack dip' because you literally CANNOT stop eating it. I found the recipe for it on this blog. Please know that you need to double or triple it for a crowd. You won't have leftovers!
Crack dip also works well at baby showers ;)
Right now it's my newest top from Ruffles with Love etsy shop. Oh my gosh, ladies. If you don't have one yet- get one, and fast! Plus the owner Vanessa is amazing and has generously offered a 10% discount for all my readers! Just visit her shop and use promo code: 'FOOTBALL13' to apply to any order

Anything I can snuggle up in + hide my face in when my team is losing. Preferably anything in the Victoria's Secret NFL collection. Or my Grandpa's sweatshirt that Jared and I rotate wearing.

This year I'm excited to FINALLY have a current player's jersey to wear (Carson and Houshmandzadeh are still hanging in my closet….) A.J. Green, I will represent you well.

Besides the obvious of stressing out, and over-analyzing the game… this is usually good time for a photoshoot. Because you can never have too many pictures of you and your friends and family in orange and black.

Nothing beats a little post-game neighborhood football tossin' with the family. As long as there isn't snow on the ground…. we toss the victory football until we annoy our neighbors ;)

Now it's your turn! Grab the button and link up YOUR football related post today! :)

  2. I love the NFL but I never ever watch college football, just to many teams and to much going on to keep my interest.

  10. We may all be rooting for different teams but I think we can all agree football season is the most wonderful time of the year! "Crack dip" is a must on game day! I also get hounded for this spinach queso dip I found on Pinterest last year. Great link up Erin! Fridays just got a lot better!

  12. Living in Atlanta, football is HUGE everywhere I go! High school football is big, college football is big, and Falcon foot ball is big. My parents weren't big football fans growing up, so I'm learning to become a fan. Turns out, I'm a UGA fan from association, and I'll cheer on the Falcons when I need to (ha!).

Which, by the way--I had no idea the Falcons were playing so soon. And against your team! Ahhhh! I guess that mean's we're rivals, now? (Except for I really don't care who wins...so I won't realllly be a rival.)

**So excited this link up is going so well for you already! YAY!*

  14. I almost let the secret out that I'm way more into college football. Whoops, it's out. What I love about your love for football? On top of all the obvious things is that it seems like such a family thing with y'all and that is the best.

  15. Even though I'm not a huge football fan (I like it, just not crazy about it), I LOVE how much you love it! And I'm so proud that you're rooting for the Gophers. They're my second favorite college team... right behind NDSU! HAHA :) Maybe you should come tailgate someday. :) :) :)

  19. I'll let you have the Gophers, but I must make an argument for my team as well, The Georgia Bulldogs.
I don't know how many GA readers you have, or anything like that, but you did say you sort of liked the Falcons (applause) so naturally, you can stretch that red and black love to the Bulldogs as well (same colors). Plus it's an entirely different conference than the Gophers (which makes it okay like both, valid, right?) AND, probably the most valid argument, y'all got AJ Green from us. BOOM! ;-)
The fair trade? I already like the Bengals. lol :-p
I need a Green jersey also, like now.
Also, the half-time nervousness, over analyzing & photo shoots are so right. You and Kayla and I should just be friends. Football, food & photography & money saving..I mean really, why do we have to live so far away?!
Oh, and little secret, there is a small, minute bit of cheering for the Buckeyes in my house because my Daddy is from Ohio.
