June's Past

You guys… Sallie and Perkins SOOOO appreciate their huge welcome yesterday. They were a bigger hit than I expected which makes us all happy campers ;) They will be making weekly appearances and keeping you in the loop on their progress. If I sound like a crazy person and you missed yesterday's post check it out here!

Since this blog was just born in late 2011, I've been recapping the highlights of the past 5 years each month. If you're newer and want to catch up you can see: JanFebMarch, April and May:)

June 2008
I started an internship with Kings Island, the amusement park! I worked in the sales and service center dealing with some of THE craziest people I've ever spoken to. Jared and I also had summer memberships to the COSI museum… nerds at heart I tell ya!
June 2009
I applied for grad school and was accepted in the Sports Administration program. I did it on a whim when I couldn't find a full-time job, but that degree taught me SO much. More than anything, it confirmed that I wanted to work in the sports world... I loved every class!

June 2010
Moved into my first apartment. A tiny little 1-bedroom just for me!

June 2011
Took our first weekend getaway as a married couple to Louisville, KY. The Slugger Museum and 4th street live were a blast!

June 2012
I won free windows for our house through a local contest; Did some fun antiquing with Kayla;
Our good friends Matt & Cassie had their first baby! Now we're going to his 1st birthday party this weekend!!

June 2013
Here we are! So far we already got to see the Pacers beat the Heat in game 6 in Indianapolis. We started out get-outta-debt-faster plan and are doing our no-spend month... so far, so good! :)

What big changes/events have you experience this June or last??

  10. Ahhh the joys of the Sales and Service Centers. I've dipped my toes in that water before. I always loved your posts-- I shared yesterday's post with Rob and since I've been trying to get into blogging and asking him to get more involved he said, "If you think I am dressing up like a nerd and posing, you have lost your mind completely. In fact, are you drunk?" LOL, I told him it was all in great fun and he laughed. I'm hoping that with him starting a new job on Monday, we will have a month that we can look back on and smile.. thinking how much we have grown. XOXO

  19. Love the NKU shirt! I'm actually in the same situation that you were for the full-time job. It's stressful and frustrating.

I also find it kind of sad that I have lived in Kentucky my whole life and I've never been to 4th Street Live! Add it to my Kentucky Bucket List that I have.

  22. You will find two forms of Softball. In the most typical form, slow-pitch softball, the basketball, occasionally bigger compared to typical 12 inches, should posture on their way to the hitter; you will find 10 people in a group; and bunting and obtaining are prohibited. In fastpitch softball, the message is quickly, you will find eight people on the subject previously, and bunting and obtaining are permitted. Softball rules differ relatively from these of baseball.
