Don't gag

Today's post might just make you gag a little...or a lot.

But I'm okay with that! It's what I want to share, and it's what's on my heart this morning :)

My husband--- he seriously rocks! And many times I know I do not show him the appreciation that he deserves. It's way too easy to take for granted how lucky and blessed I am. So today, this post is all about Jared.

Jared is the smartest person I know.... He legitimately can have a conversation with anyone, on any topic and have something relevant to contribute.

He's extremely athletic and can compete in just about any sport... but he looks best throwing a football.

Speaking of football... he's obviously a Bengals fan. You already know that's how he won me over!

Jared is seriously an AWESOME cook. He's one of those people who can just completely wing it in the kitchen and come up with a delicious variation of something. (Not like me, where I HAVE to follow a recipe if I want something to be edible!)

Jared is GREAT with kids. I know every gal probably says that about her guy... but Jared truly just has a way with them. They love him as much as he loves them and it makes me so happy to know what a great dad he'll be one day.

Jared knows how to have fun. He's always having fun. He can absolutely make the best of any situation!
2 hour detour on the way to vacation?! Jared's still having fun!!
He constantly dates me. Jared is always planning something fun for us to do, be it a simple day of frisbee golf at the park, a night of going downtown and trying a fancy new restaurant together, or just grabbing coffee after church. He opens my doors, holds my hand and does cute things like walking closest to the road when we're out :)

He's HILARIOUS. Jared cracks me up every.single.day. Many times to the point of tears and/or snorting from laughing so hard.

Jared's a good friend not just to me, but to everyone. He claims he's horrible at keeping in touch... but his friends know the second they need him, he can be there. He's helped people move countless times, he's supported friends in their business ventures, he's a good listener when a friends going through a rough phase of life. Jared's friends are lucky to have him, too!

So, Jared... let it be known that I love and appreciate you so much! Thanks for being my much better-half :)

  2. I think my hubby should hang with yours and maybe it'll rub off. Not that I can't gush about mine but sometimes I just wish he'd put out more effort towards things (cooking, planning dates) but it seems sometimes he just expects me to do it. It doesn't help that his circle of friends is the same way but I guess at least we have more fun than them!

  7. Not sappy at all, super sweet. And I think that's a guy thing to be able to talk to anyone about anything at anytime! We'll go out to dinner and E will strike up a conversation with the table next to us, I'm always soooo amazed. That's not in my personality at all. And it's kinda sexy too, yeah? ;)

  11. I didn't gag one single bit. In fact, I love these kind of lovey-dovey posts the most sometimes! They're just so cute, and I love seeing other super cutesy couples :) I've actually been thinking about writing something like this for Jeff as well, so this might just motivate me to actually do it now!
